Vanessa Selbst is a professional poker player from the United States. She is one of the best women ever. She’s worth a whopping eleven point eight million dollars, almost twelve million, and she’s only thirty-three years old.

She ranks number one on the female poker player money list and ranks forty-one on the all-time list—with the men. Vanessa has three World Series of Poker bracelets, eight final tables, twenty money finishes, and two World Poker Tour final tables. She ranks number one on the female poker player money list and ranks forty-one on the all-time list—with the men. Her highest World Series of Poker Main Event was when she ended up in 73rd place back in 2012. So far, she is the only woman ever to have three World Series of Poker bracelets at open events.

On July 9th in 1984, Vanessa was born in Brooklyn, New York, in a Jewish family. At first, she went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for about a year, but she eventually transferred to Yale University. This is where she graduated with a degree in political science. After that, she went to Spain for an entire year on a Fulbright scholarship, and when she came back to the United States, she worked for a consulting firm called McKinsey and Company. Later, she went back to Yale Law School and got her J.D. degree back in 2012. At that time, she became a coach and executive producer for DeucesCracked, an online poker training site.

Currently, Vanessa works for Bridgewater Associates investment management firm and is the only woman to ever reach the number one ranking globally on the Global Poker Index. In total, she has earned well over eleven million dollars in live poker game winnings and is also a member of Team PokerStars Pro, where she plays with the username V. Selbst.

Other Accomplishments

One of her other notable accomplishments is that she was the only poker player ever to win the same North American Poker Tour Main event back-to-back. It was an impressive and high accomplishment that no one else could say they’ve done. In January of 2013, she won the PCA high roller for over one million dollars, which made her the highest-earning female in poker history at that point. Her biggest winning was at the 2010 Partouche Poker Tour. She came in first place and brought home $1.8 million.
